The Thankful Project: Day 7

Day 7: A Job

I'm thankful for all of the jobs that the Lord has provided for me, especially the one that I have now. One job in particular though, taught me more in the 11 months that I worked there, than any other. It was my preschool teaching job. The preschool that I worked at was my church's christian school. It was so amazing to have after school meetings that involved prayer and devotionals, teaching children about God all the time, reading the bible everyday in class, seeing scripture everywhere....etc. I loved the atmosphere not to mention the preschool program as well. My co-workers were also so awesome! I felt like I could tell them anything that I was struggling with and they would be right there to help and pray for me.
When God called me out of teaching and into working with children with Autism is was very nervous. I wasn't enjoying teaching anymore so I was ok with a position change but leaving my kids and co-workers was very hard. I definitely cried for a couple of hours when I got home on my last day. That job definitely helped shape me into who I am today. The experience of teaching 15 four year olds and growing closer to God while working is something I will always miss.

What job are you most thankful for?

With love,
Kenzie Ann
